Scholarship Information
Eligibility

Provide proof of US citizenship

Be currently enrolled on a course held at one of our campuses in Cullowhee NC, and paid in full 30 days prior to the course start date

2 professional references - name and contact information will suffice

Applications must be received no later than 10 business days prior to the first day of the course - priority is given to applications received beyond 30 days prior to the first day of the course

Landmark Learning Alumnae preferred
Awards

Scholarship awards typically amount to 10%- 50% of your course tuition, with priority for courses that are 4 days or more in length

If awarded, the Landmark Foundation will contact you via email regarding your scholarship amount prior to the start of your course, upon acceptance of your application

Awards will come to you as a refund, post-course, as per IRS requirements

To claim your award you must:
1) Successfully complete your course.
2) Submit a 2-paragraph story about your experience and how you will use your newly gained skills Include a photo of yourself to go along with the story. It does not need to be a picture of you on course. We will post them on our social media accounts for our audience of future students and donors.
3) Submit your story and photo within 30 days of your course completion or your scholarship will be forfeit.
Beckwith Scholarship for Outdoor Educators
In memory of our good friend and mentor, Jerry Beckwith, this scholarship serves individuals currently working in the outdoor industry and forging their career path.
Hawkins Scholarship for Disaster and Public Health Personnel
IIn honor of Landmark Learning medical director Dr. Seth Collings Hawkins, this scholarship serves students currently serving in disaster medicine. disaster management, or public health/applied anthropology roles, or those who intend to use their Landmark Learning training to do so.
Taylor Scholarship for Public Safety Personnel
In memory of Landmark Learning Alum, Don Taylor, this scholarship serves individuals that are actively involved in Public Safety, Rescue, Fire, Emergency Medical Services, and Disaster Response.
Wall Scholarship for Outdoor Student Leaders
In honor of Landmark Learning faculty member, Katie Coley Wall, this scholarship serves students currently seeking a degree to become employed in the outdoor industry, or is currently employed in their college or university's student outdoor program.
